We arrived in Nice late Tuesday
night, the two last Easyjet flights out of London were full of
activists bound for the demonstration. Arriving at the airport
we found out that the entire centre of town was shut down by
the CRS (french riot police). Walking around the number of police
was comparable to the situation in Prague a few short months
ago.
Wandering around this
morning the streets are full of workers clad in their various
union colours, whilst here near the IMC, people are preparing
Ya Basta-style inflatable rubber tyre battering rams. Hopefully
the rainy weather wonít dampen the atmosphere that is
begining to build.

Nice one people!!!!!!
Give 'em some stick 'cause
they think they can run our lives and they blatantly can't. The
EU remains an elitist institute dedicated to 'pleasant capitalism'
and that sucks!
May the protests
raise important points while helping to further establish links
between European workers, activists and concerned citizens while
also showing that - internationally - we are concerned about
the fate of humanity on our beautiful planet.
