Czech Bus Stopped at Brenner Border by Chelsea 1:03pm Thu Jul 19 '01

Czech Bus Stopped at the Brenner Border at 10:30 am.   At 10:30 am a bus coming from the Czech Republic with 20 Czechs, 10 Austrians, and one Slovak was surrounded by police on the Brenner, Austria border. The bus was searched. The uniformed and plainclothes police found banners and literature to be used at the G8 summit. The bus was then taken to a police station. The bus is still being held at the station; it is unclear what will happen at this point, but it does not look favorable. Apparently, there is no border support at Brenner. We have been told by the GSF that a better border to cross with support is Molino. add your own comments
